Our bottles

How do our H2Ultra bottles work?

Our bottles contain a built-in lithium battery that powers an electrolysis process. When activated, the electrolysis generates hydrogen gas, which dissolves into the water, creating hydrogen-rich water.

We use Solid Polymer Electrolysis (SPE) or Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) technology which is a cutting-edge method used in our hydrogen generator bottles to produce hydrogen-rich water. Here's a detailed explanation of how our technology works:

Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM)

A PEM is a solid, polymer-based electrolyte that conducts protons while acting as an insulator to electrons. This membrane is central to the electrolysis process.

Electrodes

Anode (Positive Electrode): Where the oxidation reaction occurs.

Cathode (Negative Electrode): Where the reduction reaction takes place.

Water

The water used is generally deionized or purified to prevent impurities from affecting the electrolysis process and the membrane.

How our SPE/PEM Technology Works

Water Splitting: When the bottle is activated, water (H₂O) molecules at the anode split into oxygen (O₂), protons (H⁺), and electrons (e⁻).

Proton Conduction: The PEM allows only the positively charged hydrogen ions (protons, H⁺) to pass through it from the anode side to the cathode side.

Electron Flow: The electrons generated at the anode cannot pass through the PEM. Instead, they flow through an external circuit to reach the cathode, creating an electric current.

Hydrogen Gas Formation: At the cathode, protons (H⁺) combine with electrons (e⁻) that have traveled through the external circuit to form hydrogen gas (H₂).

Benefits of SPE/PEM Technology

Efficiency: PEM technology is highly efficient at producing hydrogen, ensuring that a significant amount of hydrogen gas is generated quickly.

Purity: The hydrogen produced is very pure, as the membrane filters out impurities that could be present in the water.

Compact Design: This technology allows for a compact and portable design, ideal for use in hydrogen generator water bottles.

Safety: PEM systems are generally safe as they operate at lower temperatures and avoid the direct handling of gases under pressure.

How do I choose which bottle to purchase?

Of course bottle selection is a personal choice based on personal requirements and your specific health conditions and needs. There are a number of different hydrogen water bottles on the market. Many however either do not perform as advertised or have inferior materials which cause early malfunction. So its important to be comfortable with your supplier.

We at H2Ultra have personally tested many bottles from many manufacturers. We selected a company with a long history of water purification experience to produce our bottles to the specifications we want. Furthermore we have personally tested each model we sell. Thirdly all 3 of our bottles typically can produce higher hydrogen yield than what is their rated production.
